Corporate Care Scheme

Based on tiered levels of support, the hospice Corporate Care Scheme’ offers businesses the opportunity to show their support for the work of Hospice through tiered levels of sponsorship. Along with the benefits offered, business owners can claim tax relief on their donation by simply deducting the amount of the donation from total profits prior to calculating their corporation tax (under the gift aid scheme). A great idea in credit crunch times!

The scheme offers business owners and managers the chance to adopt Southern Area Hospice as their chosen charity on a number of different levels. Not only will it demonstrate a corporate social responsibility commitment but it can only have a positive impact on the way a business is perceived in the local community.

Incentives include complimentary tickets for events as well as Newsletter and website profile.

Julie McKenna, owner of Place of Dress Boutique at The Quays Shopping Centre in Newry was the first businesses to join the scheme. She said, “The work of Southern Area Hospice in this area is invaluable. To maintain their high standards of care they rely on the generosity of the local community. Many groups and individuals already do fantastic work to help meet the fundraising targets. I hope that through this corporate care scheme businesses who may not have time to organise fundraisers will see this as a viable way of supporting the work of the charity while raising the profile of their own business.”
