HOW TO HELP
It costs in the region of £2 million to run our hospice
services each year and the majority of these funds are met
through fundraising in the community. We depend on your generosity
and the dedication and enthusiasm of our volunteers and supporters.
There are a number of ways in which you can get involved.
Click on the links below to find out more.
VOLUNTEER - Volunteers play an integral
role in the provision of hospice services. They help in many
different ways, supporting and assisting staff by taking responsibility
for a series of roles. Find

FUNDRAISING - The fundraising department
has the momentous task of funding a large majority of the
running costs of the Hospice. Without the support of volunteers
assisting the fundraising team throughout the year this task
would be impossible. Find

OUR SHOPS - Shop volunteers assist in helping
raise funds to provide vital hospice care. The shops sell
high quality second-hand clothes, accessories, books and bric-a-brac
which have been donated by the public.

LOTTERY - Our Lottery Challenge is to get
even more people involved and playing our lottery. You can
help by joining the lottery yourself and encouraging family,
friends and neighbours to do the same. Just £1 per week
makes the difference to our patients and their families.

Recycle Now and turn Trash into Cash!
The hospice has teamed up with local recycling company Eurosource
and is currently collecting all types of mobile phones and
empty printer cartridges. Millions of cartridges are thrown away every year. We could
benefit enormously if these came our way instead. Help your
environment and your hospice by encouraging family, friends
and employers to join the campaign. Contact Fiona on (028) 3025 1333 to register and receive your
free collection box.

In December and January, why not take part in our "donate a phone to SAHS" appeal. By this we mean that if you, or any of your family upgrade their mobile this Christmas, please bring the old one into Hospice and put in the recycling box in Admin Office. For more information contact Fiona Stephens at (028) 3025 1333.
Rags To Riches Campaign
Please don’t throw away torn sheets, towels, shoes,
handbags or worn clothing. Instead, bag them up and donate
them to your local Southern Area Hospice Shop (Newry, Banbridge
or Dungannon) to be recycled. Believe it or not we will be pleased to receive them for recycling!!
It can help raise much-needed funds for your local hospice.
Contact (028) 3025 1333 for more information.
A lasting legacy...
One valuable way to support Southern Area Hospice Services
is by leaving a gift in your will. By leaving a legacy to
the hospice you will enable the hospice's specialised work
to continue.
If you would like to discuss any aspect of wills and legacies,
or wish to receive a copy of our legacy information leaflet
please contact the fundraising office on (028) 3025 1333.
