John Dalzell Sit Out Appeal

Annually in the week prior to Christmas, Mr John Dalzell MBE, a Southern Area Hospice Services Volunteer, organises a sponsored sit out to raise funds for the Hospice. The sit out has been a well-supported event for 15 years and income has increased year-on-year throughout this period. 2006 will mark the 16th year of this event.

The event is strongly supported by all staff in the Hospice and many of Southern Area Hospice Services supporters are invited to show their support of the sit out team by sending a donation into the Hospice. Urging the public to support this appeal, Dr Dorman said,

“…not many people would give so much of their time to stand out in the cold, the wind and the rain at Christmas when everyone is so busy with their own lives. I really do hope that the public will come forward and show John and his team how much they appreciate the work they do for the Hospice and send in a donation.”
