Ireland Captain Rory Best supports Hospice Lottery

14/3/2017

The Southern Area Hospice is giving you the chance to win up to £5000 with its weekly lottery draw. The proceeds from the draw help raise vital funds needed to continue providing top quality care.

The Hospice relies on 73p from every pound to come from fundraising to deliver vital services to those in need. The Lottery was started almost 20 years ago as a way to boost funding and give back to those who help to support the SAHS.

On average, 1700 people play the Hospice Lottery every week with three guaranteed winners of £100, £200 and £300, and another winner who takes home the rollover jackpot of up to £5000. The jackpot for Friday’s draw currently sits at £4,000!

Fundraising Manager, Majella Gollogly said “Unlike other forms of fundraising, the Hospice Lottery provides a regular income for the Hospice, allowing us to plan for the future, something which is crucial in hospice care.

“We have some great ambassadors for the Hospice Lottery, including current Ireland rugby captain Rory Best who has been a great supporter of the Southern Area Hospice. We would urge people to get involved and help us reach our 2017 fundraising target of £2.5m.”

You can sign up to get your unique Hospice Lottery Number using cash, cheque, standing order or card payment. Once assigned your official number, you’re automatically entered into the draw for just £1 per week.

Award-winning Co. Down company Kukoon, one of the world’s largest rug retailers, are one of many companies who now play the lottery on behalf of each member of staff and to date have helped raise over £1400.
