Michael Magill Entertainments, in conjunction with Susan McCann, Five FM
and the Canal Court Hotel all came together to help raise this fantastic sum
of money. The Bop to U Drop is an annual event looked forward to by many people
as a great night of entertainment and craic. Those approaching the Canal Court
Hotel were able to hear coverage on the event on Five FM radio station, which
set the scene for a sparkling evening ahead.
Stars such as Jimmy Buckley, Rose Marie, Dee Reilly, Philomena Begley,
Sharon Larkin, Luv Bug, Stephen McAnulty, the Chevy’s and the legendary
Billie Jo Spears to name but a few, all joined Susan McCann in putting on a
fabulous night of entertainment, all in aid of the Southern Area Hospice.
On the night a special presentation was made to Michael Magill by Rachel
Quinn (Fundraising Events Officer) on behalf of the Southern Area Hospice, for
all his efforts and hard work with the continuing success of the annual Bop
to U Drop event and the vital funds that it raises for the Hospice services.
Rachel Quinn of Southern Area Hospice Services said, “On behalf of
Southern Area Hospice I would like to sincerely thank Michael and Micheal Magill
for their wonderful efforts in raising this fantastic amount. Also to Susan
McCann for taking part and for promotion of the event on Five FM, all the sponsors,
the many artists who gave their time up so generously and preformed so fantastically,
all volunteers who helped in many ways and of course the fantastic audience
who danced the night away!”
