This year the Sit Out extended from it’s usual haunts of Hill Street, B&Q, The Buttercrane and The Quays in Newry, to other areas of the Southern Health Board, to reflect the hospice’s catchment area. This included a Road Show in Dungannon, in conjunction with 6 FM’s Malachi Cush and Susan McCann and a street collection in Portadown. John is delighted with the support shown and would like to thank everyone in the team for their kindness and to every one who donated to this very worthwhile cause. John says “ I truly appreciate the time and efforts that people put into the Sit Out appeal, whether it is the Heatherbrook Silver Band doing a concert, or a local shop taking a bucket, or the team standing out in the cold or the counters or local school children fundraising. Everyone is so kind, thoughtful and generous to be thinking of the patients in the hospice and their families at Christmas time. Thank you and see you next year!”
