Southern Area Hospice Services (SAHS) provides invaluable support and care to people living within the Southern Health Board Area, who are suffering from Cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease and AIDS. Our aim is to provide the best quality of life for our patients and their families.
All our services are provided free of charge and we rely heavily on voluntary donations to continue providing our special care. Our website has a wealth of information about our services, how to donate and more ways to support us. Together we can help others.
Whilst Hospice does receive some annual financial support from the Department of Health, we rely heavily on fundraising. This year we need to fundraise £3.2 million which is approximately £267,000 per month, £61,538 per week, £8,791 per day, £366 per hour. We need to raise these funds to enable us to continue to provide care and support to our patients and their families.
Southern Area Hospice Services created their first ever TV Advert which aired on UTV in November 2017. Thank you to Gordons Chemists who sponsored the advert which helped to raise awareness of Hospice Services in our area. We also thank our staff and volunteers who kindly featured.
