Additional funding for hospices in recognition of the impact of Covid-19
Liz Cuddy, Chief Executive of Southern Area Hospice Services said: “Southern Area Hospice Services are very appreciative of the Health Minister Robin Swann’s announcement regarding the additional funding for hospices in Northern Ireland. It is in recognition of the impact of COVID-19 and the additional costs that we have faced as we continue to provide palliative and end of life care during the pandemic.”
“The current restrictions continue to make it impossible for us to do any fundraising events and our shops remain closed. Therefore Southern Area Hospice will continue to rely on the amazing support of our local community. We have been humbled by the generosity of those who have fundraised and donated throughout this pandemic.”
“The demand for our services has never been higher, and the staff of Southern Area Hospice Services continues to work tirelessly during this very difficult time and to provide the highest level of care to patients and their families.”
