Armagh Lady Wins Hospice Hyundai i10 Car

Dawn Rhodie from Armagh was the lucky winner of Southern Area Hospice Services ‘Win a Hyundai i10’ Car Raffle which was in association with Saltmarine Cars and the Oaks Centre in Dungannon.

Dawn recently collected her fabulous new wheels from Michael Salt of Saltmarine, Anne Mac Oscar of Southern Area Hospice and Maureen Hanna of the Oaks Centre in Dungannon.

Speaking after her win Dawn said “I am absolutely thrilled to have won the car. It was such a shock getting the phone call to say I had won. I bought the ticket in The Mall Shopping Centre in Armagh to support the Hospice – it’s a great cause - never in a million years did I think I would win.”

Anne Mac Oscar, Regional Marketing Officer at Southern Area Hospice Services said, “We are delighted to hand the Hyundai i10 over to Dawn and we would like to wish her all the very best with it. We are delighted with the success of our car raffle - it has raised a fantastic amount of money for Southern Area Hospice Services. The money raised will help our Hospice to continue to provide care for local people, who are living with Cancer and other life-limiting illnesses, such as Multiple Sclerosis and Motor Neurone Disease.”

“The Hyundai i10 Car Raffle is a vital part of our annual fundraising campaign. In 2017 alone we have to fundraise £2.5 million to maintain the level of care currently available to local people and their families and the car raffle is very important to us as we work towards this figure. We would like to extend our thanks to Saltmarine and the Oaks Centre for their help and support with our car raffle. Our thanks are also extended to the various venues and events which allowed us to come along and sell our tickets throughout the draw. Thanks are also extended to all of the volunteers who helped us to sell raffle tickets for this draw and to everyone who purchased a ticket. Without these people this campaign would not have been the success that it was.”

Runner up cash prizes of £250 and £100 went to Lavina Rea from Fintona and Robert Green from Dungannon respectively.
