Funeral Donation
Funeral Collection
Organise a collection in lieu of flowers at your loved ones funeral or memorial
Many people ask family and friends to make donations to Hospice in lieu of flowers. This is a lasting and meaningful way to honour their memory and helps ensure we are here for the next family that needs us.
There are two ways of doing this for Southern Area Hospice Services;
- Through funeral collection envelopes - we can provide a collection box or donation envelopes if required or the Funeral Directors are usually happy to organise this on your behalf by collecting the contributions and forwarding them to us; or by
- Setting up a funeral collection tribute page
Funeral Donation Envelopes
We can provide donation envelopes that can be given to guests as they enter or leave the service, or you may want to place them on seats at the venue. The envelopes also make it easy for family and friends to let us know if their donation is eligible for Gift Aid, increasing the value of each donation.
The donation envelopes can be requested here or by:

Funeral directors can also collect donations and are happy to help. You can provide them with our contact details, and we’ll be happy to assist if they need any support from us.
