Surefreight Ltd Double Their Christmas Donation to Hospice
Southern Area Hospice Services would sincerely like to thank Surefreight Ltd for their extremely generous donation of £10,000 which they made to their Christmas Gift Appeal. Pictured recently at the cheque presentation are (left to right) Vincent Waddell, Director, Surefreight Ltd; Anne Mac Oscar, Corporate Partnerships Officer, Southern Area Hospice; Maureen McSwiggan, Surefreight Ltd and Brian McManus, Director, Surefreight Ltd.
Surefreight have been generously supporting the Southern Area Hospice Corporate Gift Appeal since 2008 and this year they doubled their donation in response to the Coronavirus pandemic, which severely impacted the Hospice’s ability to fundraise.
Speaking at the presentation Brian and Vincent said, “Surefreight Ltd believe the support, dignity and services offered by Southern Area Hospice and its staff to the local community during what can be peoples darkest times, is invaluable, which is why we have been honoured to support this worthwhile charity over the last decade and look forward to continuing our support in the future. This year due to the Pandemic and its adverse effects on the Hospice’s ability to run some fundraising events, Surefreight have taken the decision to double our annual Christmas contribution in our efforts to keep the Hospice operational.”
Anne Mac Oscar, Corporate Partnerships Officer at Southern Area Hospice thanked Surefreight for their donation stating, “We would sincerely like to thank Surefreight Ltd for their generous donation towards our Corporate Christmas Gift Appeal. Surefreight Ltd are very loyal and dedicated supporters of Southern Area Hospice and we very much appreciate their ongoing support. All the money donated will help our multi-disciplinary team at the Hospice to continue their work providing specialist palliative care to local patients and families, not just at Christmas, but every day of the year. 2020 has been a very challenging year at the Southern Area Hospice, however whilst many of our own fundraising events were postponed or cancelled, we continued to provide the highest level of care to our patients and families right throughout the pandemic, and it is thanks to the generous support of the local community and businesses that we were able to do so.”
