Tickets Now on Sale for Southern Area Hospice’s 52nd Annual Gala Ball
The Southern Area Hospice Dinner Dance Committee is delighted to announce that tickets are now available for its much anticipated 52nd annual Hospice gala ball. The glamorous event is set to take place on Friday 1st March 2024 in the Canal Court Hotel & Spa, Newry.
The evening will start with a glittering drinks reception featuring live music by John Cosgrove. Guests will then be treated to a five-course gala dinner, followed by a raffle and a live auction offering a variety of must-have items. Among them is a Ladies' Day Experience for 10 people at Down Royal Racecourse. The evening will finish with music by the popular Sugartown Road.
Caroline Grant, Chairperson of the Southern Area Hospice Dinner Dance Committee commented, “We were blown away by the overwhelming support received last year, raising an incredible £44,000 for Southern Area Hospice. We hope people will support the gala ball again this year and I encourage purchasing your tickets early. This is sure to be a sell-out event.”
Caroline continues, “The Committee would like to thank the generous headline sponsors for supporting this year's event, Ashtree Financial and Tinnelly Group. We look forward to working with them both. We would also like to thank all the local businesses for donating prizes for the raffle and auction. It is wonderful to see the tremendous support for the Hospice from our local community.”
Michael Blaney, Managing Director of Ashtree Financial and Joanne Campbell and Roisin Franklin from Tinnelly Group agreed that the Gala Ball is the cornerstone of the local event calendar and a fantastic way to raise funds for the Hospice. Both parties hold the cause close to their hearts and are delighted to support the event once again.
Tickets are priced at £65 per person and all proceeds from the event will go directly to Southern Area Hospice. The Hospice is dedicated to delivering the highest standard of specialist palliative and end of life care to individuals with complex life-limiting conditions. It provides wrap-around support for patients and their families, addressing their physical, emotional and social needs.
