Win a CLIO and Support Your Local Hospice
Southern Area Hospice Services are delighted to launch their ‘Win a CLIO’ competition giving people the chance to win an All-New Renault Clio 1.0 SCe 75 Play with one year’s free insurance whilst raising vital funds for Southern Area Hospice Services.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Southern Area Hospice had to cancel and postpone many of their usual fundraising events and campaigns this year, however they are delighted that they are able to proceed with their car competition, one of their flagship fundraising events each year, in a different but safe way.
Tickets won’t be on sale as usual in the shopping centres and shops throughout the trust area, but you can instead either go online to purchase your entry at www.southernareahospiceservices.org/competition or ring the Hospice Fundraising Office on 028 3025 1333 (Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm) to enter the competition over the phone. Southern Area Hospice hope that their generous supporters will get their entries in for the chance to win the CLIO, and at the same time to help the Hospice raise much needed funds to continue their work during these uncertain times.
The ‘Win a CLIO’ competition is very generously supported by Renault, Shelbourne Motors, Autoline And the Oaks Shopping Centre, Dungannon. Ronan Marshall of Shelbourne Motors and Pauline O’Hanlon of Autoline recently joined Roberta Wilson and Anne Mac Oscar of Southern Area Hospice at Shelbourne Motors in Newry to launch the fundraiser.
Speaking at the launch Roberta Wilson, Acting Registered Manager at the Southern Area Hospice thanked the various companies for their support and called on people to get their entries in. She said, “We are delighted that Renault, Shelbourne Motors, Autoline and the Oaks Shopping Centre in Dungannon have lent their support to this campaign. Here at the Hospice we have continued to provide care to our patients and their families throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, the demand for our services never stopped and so neither did our staff. They carried on caring in the most difficult of circumstances. The support we received from the local community and businesses during this time was overwhelming. We are so pleased that we can proceed with our car competition this year. It is a large part of the annual Hospice fundraising calendar. This year it is a bit different. Our fundraising team have found a new way to run the competition so that hopefully those funds will not be lost to us this year. I would urge our loyal supporters to get their entry in, not only will you be supporting the Hospice and helping us to continue our work but for £20 you might be the lucky new owner the fabulous Renault CLIO in November.”
Ronan Marshall, Group Marketing Manager at Shelbourne Motors, one of Northern Ireland’s longest established and fastest growing motor retailers with multi-franchise sites in Portadown and Newry, added, “We are delighted to be working with and supporting Southern Area Hospice Services with their “Win a CLIO” draw. With both Shelbourne Motors sites; Portadown & Newry located within the Southern health region we are very much aware of the service the Hospice provides within our community. The All-New multi-award winning Renault CLIO is a stunning model and it a will be a fantastic prize for one lucky winner. We are excited to have selected Southern Area Hospice as our chosen charity partner for 2020/2021 and look forward to our continued partnership which will help raise vital funds which is even more important during these unprecedented times.”
The lucky winner will not only win a car but also one year’s insurance (up to the value of £500) kindly sponsored by Autoline, long term supporters of the Southern Area Hospice. Pauline O’Hanlon, Newry Branch Manager was delighted to attend the launch saying, “What a fantastic prize! We hope this will be a really successful fundraising drive for the Hospice. It’s coming at a time when our voluntary sector is coming under more pressure than ever before, with traditional fundraisers cancelled or postponed. It is a great privilege to support this prize, as a way of continuing their amazing work, which touches the hearts of so many across this community. Who could resist the opportunity to win a brand new, fully insured car: as they say, if you’re not in, you can’t win!”
On various weeks throughout the campaign the eye-catching All-New Renault Clio 1.0 SCe 75 Play car will be on display at the Oaks Shopping Centre, Dungannon - make sure you keep an eye out for it.
